Abstrakt
W Stanach Zjednoczonych obowiązuje jedno z najbardziej kontrowersyjnych na świecie praw dotyczących posiadania i noszenia broni palnej. Charakterystycznym dziedzictwem tego kraju, jest ukształtowana na przestrzeni wieków tzw. kultura broni (gun culture), której legitymizację znaleźć można w klasycznej interpretacji prawa konstytucyjnego. Współcześnie istotnym aspektem kultury broni jest zestaw pojęć, którymi posługują się jej rzecznicy i apologeci. Jednym z nich jest termin określany w amerykańskim dyskursie mianem „dobrego człowieka z bronią” (good guy with a gun). Artykuł podejmuje próbę zdefiniowania tego pojęcia, jego interpretacji, przytoczenia elementów go tworzących oraz zrozumienia fenomenu jego popularności we współczesnej debacie publicznej.
