Abstract
The paper highlights the issue of sexual crime in the Slovak and Czech Republic. Also selected activities related to prophylactic and therapeutic initiatives undertaken in the above–mentioned countries towards victims and offenders of sexual crimes are discussed. The text was created on the basis of the Slovak and Czech subject literature. The following material can be of interest for those who professionally and scientifically deal with crime, for students of faculties of criminology, law, psychology, internal security as well as to any other readers to whom the issue of public security in European Union countries is particularly close.The papers published in the ASEJ Journal (alternate title: Zeszyty Naukowe Wyższej Szkoły Finansów i Prawa w Bielsku-Białej) - published by the University of Applied Sciences in Bielsko-Biała, are online open access distributed (Creative Commons Attribution CC-BY-NC 4.0 license).
